Omaha, NE – The University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO) proudly announces the launch of its innovative Softball Pitching Lab, a collaborative effort with OGX Softball. This state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to advancing softball players’ skills through comprehensive biomechanical and clinical analysis, focusing on performance enhancement and injury prevention.

Laura McDonald, Lead Sport Scientist at OGX, emphasized the lab’s unique benefits: “This initiative combines the latest in biomechanical evaluation with in-depth clinical analysis to provide actionable insights for athletes. Our partnership with UNO represents a significant step forward in supporting softball players to reach their full potential while minimizing injury risks.”

Sam Wilkins, PhD, ATC, Assistant Professor and Co-Director of the UNO Pitching Lab, highlighted the lab’s mission, “Our goal is to empower pitchers by providing them with detailed, personalized feedback that can transform their performance. The collaboration with OGX Softball enables us to leverage cutting-edge technology and research to make a real difference in the lives of athletes.”

The lab utilizes advanced motion capture technology and a thorough clinical approach to assess each athlete, offering tailored recommendations to enhance pitching mechanics and overall performance.
